Gluten-Free Pizza FAQ's
How does Garlic Jim's protect against cross-contamination?
Our Garlic Jim’s staff is trained to wash their hands before beginning the preparation of a Gluten-Free (GF) pizza and to use special care not to bring the GF crusts into contact with anything that might lead to cross-contamination.
The GF crusts are stored separately in our walk-in cooler. There are separate screens, spoodles (combination of ladle/spoon), and sauce containers dedicated solely to our GF crusts. There is a dedicated GF pizza peel, cutting table and pizza cutter to keep GF pizzas separate and safe.
Furthermore, our regular pizzas are tossed in a GF flour mix (a mixture of corn meal and rice flour) so all the flour flying around in our stores is actually GF.
What does a gluten-free pizza taste like?
Our gluten-free crusts are wonderfully seasoned, thin and crispy. If you're unsure if you’ve received a Gluten-Free crust, one of our crew members will be more than happy to assist you.
What are the ingredients of Garlic Jim's gluten-free pizza crust?

Our Hot wings are glazed with: pepper sauce (aged cayenne pepper, vinegar, salt), soybean oil, water, nonfat dry milk, xanthan gum and propylene glycol alginate. They do contain SOY and MILK.
Are there plans for more Gluten-Free products?
Yes, we are always looking for Gluten-Free products to add to our menu and we welcome suggestions from our customers.
Is it important to have the Gluten Free Food Service Accreditation from the Gluten Intolerance Group?
Yes, it is. The Gluten Free Food Service Accreditation from the Gluten Intolerance Group validates our efforts to maintain an environment free from cross-contamination and assures our valuable gluten-free customers that we are a safe place to enjoy pizza. We want to protect those who suffer from Celiac’s disease or any other forms of gluten intolerance.
How many pizza chains have obtained this certification?
As of December 2009, Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza was the only pizza chain to receive Gluten Free Food Service Accreditation from the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America. Currently neither Domino’s, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, Figaro’s nor Papa Murphy’s carry Gluten-Free pizza.
Does Garlic Jim's maintain a nut-free environment in its stores?
The nuts are stored in separate containers from the rest of the toppings and we strive to minimize any cross-contamination. We cannot, however, guarantee that there will not be any contact with nuts.
